The Department of Psychology at Lancaster University is seeking to appoint two full time Research Associates, to work with Dr Kirsty Dunn (Psychology) and Professor Gert Westermann (Psychology) along with a number of external collaborators across Durham University and the University of Warwick. The role is for an 18-month period.

You will work on a project funded by the Nuffield Foundation to investigate the prenatal environmental origins of the ‘achievement gap’ in UK schools.

Your role

You will conduct systematic reviews, contribute to publications and presentations (academic and non-academic), and co-organise policy briefing workshops. You will have an undergraduate degree in Psychology or related area. You should be able to demonstrate an ability to conduct systematic review research, and enthusiasm for informing future research, policy and practice surrounding early years education.

The Team

Our team is led by Dr Kirsty Dunn (Lancaster University), in collaboration with a number of academic and clinical experts in perinatal health;

Professor Gert Westermann (Lancaster University), Professor P. Saravannan (University of Warwick), Dr Thomas Barber (University of Warwick).

Our team further includes an exciting group of academic, clinical care experts, and representatives of families with lived experiences of the factors under investigation.
