Objective of this post:                 

The principal objective of the post is to lead and participate in the development, direction, teaching, facilitation and examining of the undergraduate and graduate Medical teaching programmes of RCSI in Medical Professionalism. The successful candidate will assist with the delivery of the RCSI curriculum in the multi-cultural environment of RCSI Dublin, ensuring academic quality and consistency across the RCSI campuses. RCSI is seeking a professional who is passionate about teaching, would like to experience working as an academic in a multicultural environment, who demonstrates initiative, openness and resilience. The successful candidate will demonstrate enthusiasm, initiative and excellent organisation and communication skills.

The post- holder, will be based in the Centre for Professionalism in Medicine and Health Sciences, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, and will develop, teach and help coordinate Medical Professionalism teaching and Evidence Based Health teaching. The successful candidate will also assist with research-related projects and initiatives, including but not limited to, the longitudinal PILLAR Study, HEA Funded North-South Research Programme PROPER Study and several Post-Doctoral Research Student MD and PhD Programmes.

The Process:

Interview and presentation

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a formal competence-based interview and presentation. It is proposed that interviews will be held in mid-Octover 2023 (this is subject to change).

This post is a full-time temporary maternity leave cover position. The appointee will report to the Head of Department or nominee.
