This post is full time and permanent, working 35 hours per week.

We wish to recruit a lecturer in Clinical Microbiology to teach within established and new programmes of study within the School of Life Science. The successful candidate will join the School of Life Sciences, which has a wide reputation for teaching and research in the heart of London. The School hosts a suite of well- established foundation, undergraduate (BSc) and postgraduate (Masters) courses for both full-time and part-time students.

The appointee will complement and strengthen our existing research expertise and will be involved in teaching on our BSc and MSc programmes. Applicants for this post should demonstrate evidence of distinction in research through high-quality publications, ability or potential to obtain peer-reviewed funding in their research area, and enthusiasm for undergraduate teaching, thereby contributing teaching to the Biomedical Science, Biochemistry, Biological Sciences and Pharmacology degrees.

The School offers an exciting range of undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, short courses and plans to grow its apprenticeship provision.  Located within Fitzrovia in Central London, the School supports approximately 2000 diverse, multicultural students. As well as having a variety of established industry sector links, the school hosts a vibrant research community, including three research centres, an overarching cross university research institute and plans for further growth and strong reputation building. As a team member, you will work closely with colleagues across the School and wider University, to maintain the highest quality of teaching and student pastoral support and provide the best possible experience to School users (primarily students and academic and research staff) in the delivery of the School’s core activities.
