An exciting opportunity to work on WCRF International’s Global Cancer Update Programme 

World Cancer Research Fund (WCRF) International leads and unifies a network of cancer prevention charities based in Europe and the United States and is responsible for our cancer prevention science and policy, as well as offering strategic and operational direction to the WCRF network of charities. Our shared vision is to live in a world where no one develops a preventable cancer. 

WCRF International is responsible for delivering our network science programmes. One of these is the Global Cancer Update Programme (CUP Global), which analyses global research on how diet, nutrition and physical activity affect cancer risk and survival. 

CUP Global is a flagship project of the WCRF network and the only initiative of its kind in the world. The CUP Global database is housed at Imperial College London and over 140 scientists from more than 17 different countries have contributed to it. CUP Global is trusted by oncology experts, researchers, policymakers, and health professionals worldwide, and regularly evaluated by an independent Panel of leading cancer experts. 

We are seeking a Research Interpretation Manager, who will play a key role in the management and delivery of the CUP Global programme of work. You will be principally working within WCRF International’s Research Interpretation Team. 

This role will include project managing and leading on specific components of CUP Global work, as well as providing general support as part of the CUP Global Secretariat. You will also work with other teams within the Science and Research Department and interact with other departments within the WCRF London office and the WCRF network, as well as working with our external expert collaborators. 

You will be educated to at least Masters degree level with an undergraduate and/or postgraduate degree in human nutrition, cancer epidemiology, public health, or another relevant subject. You will have a sound understanding of epidemiology and biological mechanisms as applied to diet, nutrition, weight, physical activity and cancer, as well as strong project management skills and experience of evidence synthesis and interpretation.
