We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic Post-Doctoral Researcher in the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences to join an interdisciplinary team on a prestigious UKRI (Medical Research Council) Ageing Research Development grant to co-produce a novel food-based intervention to improve nutrition, healthy ageing in UK South Asian, Black African and Caribbean older adults.
The study aims to work together with our established networks and ongoing community engagement activities aimed at promoting heathier diets among older ethnic minority groups in Greater Manchester and Southwest England. The project is led by Bournemouth University delivered in collaboration with academic colleagues at Loughborough University and University of Chester.
The ideal candidate will have experience of conducting community-based research working with diverse ethnic and other under-researched groups, including experience of co-production and using qualitative approaches. The candidate needs to be confident, having good organisation and communication skills, a track record of successful research, and a flexible working approach is vital, using your own initiative as well as in a team.
