About the Role

Applications are invited for an enthusiastic and experienced clinical research fellow to join the Centre for Oral Clinical Research (COCR), within the Institute of Dentistry reporting to Professor of Periodontology & Implant Dentistry.

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team of clinicians, scientists, research nurses and research support staff, developing clinical research studies and supporting/facilitating the grants of the Principal Investigator (PI) within the Centre for Oral Clinical Research.

Will contribute to the overall scientific endeavor of COCR, and to take responsibility for areas of the current projects, as demand requires and as delegated by the Professor of Periodontology & Implant Dentistry who is the Principal Investigator of the projects that the post is funded from.

Provide periodontal and implant dentistry related treatment to patients recruited or to be recruited for clinical research studies.

Will work as part of the Institute’s COCR research team, being mutually supportive and covering duties as necessary during colleagues’ absences and at times of additional pressure, as directed.

The Centre for Oral Clinical Research (COCR) is a dedicated clinical research centre conducting randomized controlled clinical trials & observational studies related to diagnosis & clinical treatment of patients with periodontal & implant dentistry needs. COCR values multi-disciplinary clinical expertise, evidence-based approaches, pro-active interaction with industry and general public engagement in order to develop and implement diagnostic and treatment innovations relevant to oral and general health.

The post is based at the Whitechapel Campus in London. The post is 0.2FTE for 12 months. The starting salary will be in the range of £44,171-£48,637 pa pro rata plus LWA Interviews will be held in October and starting date will be shortly thereafter.
