Closing Date:   Sunday 22 October 2023

Interview Date:   Monday 06 November 2023

Are you looking for the next step in your career as part of a progressive, goal-oriented team of academic and professional services colleagues? Are you passionate about delivering excellence in medical education and an outstanding student experience? If so, we are looking for an Associate Professor & Head of Anatomy to join our Lincoln Medical School.

Your strong skills in leading a team of technical and academic staff will ensure the delivery of a high-quality student learning experience, whilst your substantial experience of teaching in Human Anatomy to undergraduates, ideally medical students, will allow you to thrive in this exciting role. Teaching will be through a range of session types, including lectures, workshops, seminars and practical demonstrations.

This role offers the prospect of much personal and professional development with the opportunity to contribute to Lincoln Medical School’s independence journey, teach on specialist modules in Human Anatomy and to supervise students’ BMedSci projects.   The role-holder will also deputise for the Associate Dean of Medicine at College- and University-level committees and events, providing further opportunity to grow your experience.  The School is supportive of suitable professional development/training activities and attendance at scientific conferences to enhance your knowledge and skills.

The post will be offered on one of two academic profiles, either Teaching & Research (TR) or Teaching, Scholarship & Professional Practice (TSPP), depending on background and experience.

If you are looking for the challenge of being part of one of the UK’s newest medical schools, with the potential to shape the hearts, minds and skills of the doctors of the future, this may be the opportunity for you.

For an informal discussion and further information, please contact the Associate Dean of Medicine, Professor Danny McLaughlin, on dmclaughlin@lincoln.ac.uk.
