The Primary Care Education Unit (PCEU), Centre of Academic Primary Care at the University of Nottingham are looking to appoint three Research Fellows as part of a programme to expand research within medical education. 

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established team, led by Professor Jaspal Taggar, undertaking research across the broad theme of developing capacity for clinical learning within Primary Care for undergraduates. Research will be conducted within sub-themes including:

  • Developing and testing new service models for delivering Primary Care education in community settings.
  • Developing and evaluating virtual simulation methods, for example virtual and augmented reality, for clinical learning.
  • Investigating and embedding models of peer-education to develop capacity for Primary Care education in community settings.

Research activities will include undertaking evidence reviews, developing and testing innovative methods for delivering clinical learning, with supervision and mentorship being provided by the leadership team within the PCEU. This is also an excellent opportunity to develop your expertise in research methodologies, medical education and research dissemination in support of your future career development. 

The posts are offered on fixed-term contracts until 31st August 2024. Hours of work are between 21.75 and 29 hours per week. Please state your preferred hours in your application.
