Teaching Fellow in Immunology (567701) at University of Strathclyde

To further strengthen its teaching, and knowledge exchange activities, SIPBS is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Teaching Fellow in Immunology. The successful candidate will contribute to our vision for the development of immunology teaching in the Joint Honours and Biomedical Science degree programmes accredited by the Royal Society of Biology and the Institute of Biomedical Sciences and in the MPharm accredited by the General Pharmaceutical Council.  We encourage applications from candidates with a clear track record of excellence in teaching who can progress their own independent programme of research in SIPBS as part of the SIPBS Educational Research Group and the University Leadership and Pedagogy in Teaching theme.

The appointed candidate will contribute to the delivery of SIPBS undergraduate Biomedical Sciences and Pharmacy degree programmes, which may also require some teaching at overseas partner universities. They will also contribute to the development and delivery of our expanding postgraduate MSc portfolio.  The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the wider academic, scholarly, and professional requirements of the Institute. The candidate will be expected to have or work towards Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (HEA) as part of their role.

To be considered for this position, you will have a doctoral degree in a relevant discipline (or equivalent) and postdoctoral experience. The role will involve engaging with academic and external partners in academia and industry to support and deliver, training, education and knowledge exchange (KE) programmes. Candidates must also have personal attributes which align with the University’s values.
