The GMC mandates that medical students are fit for placement-based education; healthy, vetted etc. The School of Medicine wishes to appoint a Medical Students Health and Welfare Adviser at Associate Lecturer level.  

The successful candidate will have a healthcare background in specialisms such as, but not limited to, General Practice, Adult or Mental Health nursing or as an Allied Health Professional. The role holder will support the Pro Dean of Medicine to deliver pastoral support to early years UG and graduate entry medical students at the Faculty of Medicine. The role holder will be the School of Medicine’s disability officer. The role holder will be expected to contribute to the School’s teaching programmes according to their discipline.
