Part-time 0.4fte

Starting salary from £44,737 per annum (pro rata), dependent on skills and experience, with an annual increment up to £51,805 per annum (pro rata)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lecturer to join Norwich Medical School.

The Physician Associate programme requires a Lecturer and module lead to work with the course director and other module leads in teaching, planning and all aspects of the delivery of the programme. This post would primarily be as module lead for the emergency medicine module (second year) as well as consultation skills teaching.

There will be a close working relationship between the MB BS course and the PA course with much opportunity for shared teaching and resources. It is expected that Lecturers primarily employed to support the PA course will also contribute to the education of medical students.

A primary clinical qualification (medical or physician associate) and registration and licence to practise (where appropriate) as a clinician is essential, with emergency medicine and teaching experience desirable.

This part-time (0.4fte) post is available on an indefinite basis from 3 January 2024. The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and appointment will be subject to a criminal record check at Enhanced level from the Disclosure and Barring Service.

Further information on our great benefits package, including 44 days annual leave inclusive of Bank Holidays and additional University Customary days (pro rata for part-time), can be found on our benefits page.

Closing date: 6 November 2023

The University holds an Athena Swan Silver Institutional Award in recognition of our advancement towards gender equality.
