October 30 – Osaka, Japan – Global Affairs Canada
World Expos provide a unique opportunity for governments, companies, international organizations, and citizens to share ideas, innovate, collaborate, and celebrate ingenuity.
Today on the margins of the Team Canada Trade Mission to Japan, the Honourable Mary Ng, Minister of Export Promotion, International Trade and Economic Development, participated in the concept unveiling for the Canada Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka.
The Canada Pavilion will embrace the natural cycles of Canada’s seasons, including the thaw of frozen riverways at the onset of spring. The pavilion’s exterior architecture is inspired by these spring-time ice formations, while inside, a dynamic public presentation will invite visitors to follow a river’s journey across the country.
Canada’s participation at Expo 2025 Osaka is an opportunity to celebrate the longstanding close ties between Canada and Japan and deliver on our Indo-Pacific Strategy.
The Expo will deepen commercial ties between Canada and Japan, while promoting Canadian innovation and its attractiveness as a destination for business and investment.
