Part time 0.5FTE

The School of Life Sciences is looking for a lecturer to join our exceptional Biomedical Science teaching team. The successful applicant will work with the undergraduate and postgraduate teams to develop and deliver programmes to students. In parallel they will be encouraged to develop their skills as an academic educator. This will cover a broad area of interest including curriculum development, pedagogic research, outreach and public engagement. 

You will have a Masters degree as well as substantial professional experience in an area of biomedical science, biochemistry, immunology or infection science. You will be a HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist or Clinical Scientist with experience of teaching or training in the disciplines of blood science, clinical biochemistry or infection science. 

Agile working (a blend of home and office based) will be considered. This position could be suitable for a job share. Some teaching may occur out of regular office hours to facilitate our blended Masters courses.

Starting salary will be negotiated based on the successful applicant’s clinical experience and current pay. The University is committed to operating flexible working practices wherever possible.
