A former porn star and repeat sex offender once dubbed the “pants-less perv” is now wanted for flashing and stalking a woman in New York City, police have said.
Kenneth Hoyt, 58 — whose crimes date back more than three decades — approached his latest victim on the city’s ritzy Upper East Side around 11.30pm. January 10 and opened his jacket, fully exposing his genitalia to her, police said.
Hoyt, a level 3 sex offender — meaning he is among those most at risk for reoffending — is also accused of making “numerous amounts of unwanted social media contact with the victim” and “detailing her movements throughout her day,” New York City Police have stated, the New York Post reports.
Police announced on Thursday that Hoyt is still not bee brought in for questioning.
He stands around 1.75 metres, weighs about 82kg, and has hazel eyes and long blond hair.
He was most recently arrested in 2019 on charges of public lewdness, acting in a manner injurious to a child, and disorderly conduct, police said.
He was also nabbed for allegedly flashing at least three women on the New York City’s Subway system between August and September 2017, The Post reported at the time.
In two of the cases, he was allegedly dressed in a long camouflage shirt and was nude from the waist down when he exposed himself to the victims, leading some media outlets to nick name him “the pants-less perv”.
“He’s had a problematic history, obviously level 3,” then-chief of detectives Robert Boyce said then of Hoyt. “So he has done this before”.
In 2006, Hoyt was arrested for allegedly exposing himself and masturbating on Manhattan trains — once in front of two 16-year-old girls.
He was nabbed after one of his alleged victims noticed that a porn website address was printed on the back of his jacket.
She memorised the address, then checked it out. There she found her alleged flasher’s name and X-rated pictures — leading to his arrest.
But the misdemeanour charges against Hoyt were dismissed by a criminal court judge, all because prosecutors missed the legal deadline for bringing him to trial in a timely manner — by only four days.
Hoyt’s criminal past extends back to 1984, when he was arrested for making harassing phone calls in Orange County, California, former local news outlet DNAinfo reported.
He was convicted in 1987 of molesting a 13-year-old girl — the offence that landed him on the sex offender registry — and sentenced to three years’ probation, records show.
In 1990, Hoyt also exposed his buttocks to two 16-year-old girls in Las Vegas, according to records obtained by DNAinfo.
The next year, also in Las Vegas, he was cuffed for making obscene phone calls to girls and exposing himself, according to the report.
