We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual with insight into the expectations of advancing practice and radiographic reporting expertise within the field of diagnostic imaging. You will join us as an Associate Professor of Diagnostic Radiography and make significant contributions to our learning and teaching, research and business and community engagement activities.

You will be a HCPC registered Diagnostic Radiographer with a higher degree (MSc or equivalent) and postgraduate qualifications in radiographic reporting. You will have significant experience of working across a range of contemporary imaging technologies and supporting learners from different disciplines to understand image acquisition, evaluation, optimisation and interpretation practices.  You will also have an excellent or developing track record in research and development evidenced through high quality peer reviewed publications and industry partnerships.

You will be joining the University at an exciting time for Diagnostic Radiography with a new Fujifilm (Hitachi) Scenaria 128 CT Scanner (first of type in UK) being installed during summer 2022 alongside a Fujifilm DR visionary suite and you will have opportunity to work in partnership with Fujifilm to develop and improve products for market as part of the newly formed FujiFilm @ Bradford Academy. There will also be opportunities to expand contribution through this facility with future plans to offer patient facing services in partnership will local NHS Trusts.

In addition to these new installations, the University of Bradford Diagnostic Radiography department has an existing CR/DR Xray room, an Agfa DR mobile, portable ultrasound, a 26 station reporting PACS room and a Virtual Reality suite for simulation learning. The Faculty of Health studies also has a wide range of clinical simulation equipment. Further imaging facilities are also installed within the Faculties of Engineering and Life Science faculties including micro- and cone beam CT offering opportunities for research collaborations. The Diagnostic Radiography team also works closely with NHS Trusts and clinical partners from across the region as well as having national and international partnerships and recognition for its postgraduate taught courses (CT, MRI and radiographer reporting) and high quality research influencing practice globally.
