An exciting opportunity has arisen for the appointment of a full-time, 12 month fixed term Research Biomedical Scientist. You will be working in the Bioanalytical Facility (BAF) as part of the Musculoskeletal Science Group supporting clinical research projects at the University of East Anglia and Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.

You will support the team in providing effective technical support services. To perform and evaluate a range of analyses in the specialist field of calcium homeostasis and metabolic bone diseases. To manage the laboratory instruments and procurement of goods to maintain the provision of service. The post will be directly involved in the development and maintenance of standards as necessary for continuing Good Clinical Practise (GCP) Good Laboratory Practice (GLP).

The BAF is equipped with a Roche COBAS 6000 chemistry and immunochemistry analyser, automated/ semi-automated immunoassay platforms and liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry systems. In-depth knowledge in the use of chromatographic, spectrophotometric, immunoassay and mass spectrometry techniques are essential.

The post is suitable for Biomedical Scientist specialising in Clinical Chemistry. Ideally for someone with significant post HCPC registration experience working in a UKAS laboratory with a good understanding of GCP and GLP.

This post is offered on a full-time, fixed term basis for 12 months.
