The first photos of King Charles III and Queen Camilla have graced the front pages of newspapers around the world.

A splash of royal purple adorned special souvenir editions in Australia and the UK to mark the historic occasion.

Headlines across the major publications hailed the newly-crowned monarchs.

The Sunday Express ran a solo picture of King Charles waving under the headline “HAPPY AND GLORIOUS”.

The Sun rain with “CROWNING GLORY” and a photo of King Charles inside Westminster Abbey.

The Daily Star broke away from formalities and cheekily ran “KING CHAS III” on its special edition, which included a free pullout.
