Minister Ng to host His Excellency Albert Muchanga, Commissioner for Economic Development, Trade, Tourism, Industry and Minerals of the African Union Commission

May 15, 2023 – The Honourable Mary Ng, Minister of International Trade, Export Promotion, Small Business and Economic Development, will host His Excellency Albert Muchanga, Commissioner for Economic Development, Trade, Tourism, Industry and Minerals of the African Union Commission, in Canada from May 16-17, 2023, for the African Trade Policy Dialogue. They will be joined by Arif Virani, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of International Trade, Export Promotion, Small Business and Economic Development.

Media are invited to attend Minister Ng and Commissioner Muchanga’s remarks during the Trade Policy Dialogue Opening Ceremony. The remarks will be followed by the signing of the Global Affairs Canada-African Union Commission Cooperation Framework establishing the Trade Policy Dialogue. The signing ceremony will also be open to media.
