– THE ROLE –
The School of Medicine has been established with a focus on the education of Northern Ireland’s future doctors; but as it matures and grows, the School is developing its research activity in line with its new research strategy. The appointee will provide leadership for hospital-based education in surgery, act as an inspirational role model for medical students; deliver some direct teaching and undertake other leadership activity within the School. It is also anticipated that the appointee will undertake research in their field of surgical practice.
