We are looking for a creative, hard‑working, and organized Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join the newly‑formed Anderson Lab within the Centre for Inflammation Research and Institute for Regeneration & Repair to study host‑microbe communication during injury and repair.

The opportunity:

This is a 4‑year (with a possibility to extend), full‑time Postdoctoral Research position to work in the group of Dr. CJ Anderson. The postdoctoral fellow role will offer a unique mix of utilising and developing inter‑disciplinary scientific techniques, performing cutting‑edge scientific research, and establishing managerial and leadership capabilities. This post is funded by a Wellcome Trust Career Development Award (£2.3 million, 2023‑2031).

Your skills and attributes for success:

  • Self-motivated, professional, highly organized, and goal oriented.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team setting.
  • Can complete research projects and disseminate findings through clearly constructed and independently prepared oral and written presentations.
  • Willingness and desire to learn new techniques.
  • Technical experience with mammalian cell culture and/or bacterial cell culture.
