Lecturer in Healthcare Sciences (Clinical Skills) at Bangor University

The School of Medical and Health Sciences is offering an exciting opportunity for an aspiring or experienced passionate health educator to join our team committed to the delivery of high quality, evidence informed academic programmes that include clinical skills. The post holder will be responsible for the delivery of clinical skills using a range of simulation strategies to prepare students for practice placement learning. Working across the School of Medical and Health Sciences you will be responsible for supporting the development, organisation, and delivery of innovative approaches to simulated learning and clinical skills for the Bachelor of Nursing and other commissioned health programmes. As an experience practitioner, it is expected that you will have experience in educating students in the practice setting and supporting students using your skills to create a safe learning environment based on sound pedagogical foundations to ensure our students have a first-class learning experience.

Available at Grade 7, this post provides an opportunity for aspiring or experienced candidates to be part of an enthusiastic team to take our programmes forward in line with Nursing and Midwifery Council Standards 2018 and Health and Care Professions Council and support students’ learning.

Candidates will have current professional registration (on the appropriate part of the register) with the Nursing and Midwifery Council or the Health and Care Professions Council as well as a degree in a relevant subject area.

The School of Medical and Health Sciences is an interprofessional school which sits within the College of Human Sciences and provides medical, health and care education and research at Bangor University.

The successful candidate will be expected to commence as soon as possible.

The ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable for this post.

This role will be located on campus at Bangor. Through our Dynamic Working framework, there will also be the option to spend some time working remotely (although remaining in the UK) to support work life balance, which will be discussed further with candidates at interview.
