We are looking for a Clinical Instructor to work in the School of Optometry at Aston University. The School of Optometry at Aston is the largest in the world and boasts substantial modern clinical teaching facilities. The School offers innovative undergraduate and postgraduate degree, on-campus and distance learning, programmes in Optometry. Our accredited courses combine high quality teaching with clinical learning in practice environments, including our on-campus professional patient clinics. We also offer a variety of short courses for professionals for Clinical Instructors in Optometry posts.
You will be supporting the clinical training of optometrists, whilst studying full time for a PhD, for a fixed term of 3-4 years. You will assist academic staff in the provision of high-quality learning & teaching in line with the number of teaching hours allowable for full time post graduate students, currently 6 hours per week.

You must be a clinically GOC registered care professional, a British National or ‘settled’ to be eligible for ‘home’ PhD fees’, with clinical experience.
