We require an enthusiastic radiographer to join a research team of radiographers, radiologists, clinicians and scientists. We operate a Philips 3T Achieva dStream system at Foresterhill, undertaking a variety of multimodal brain imaging including fMRI, as well as cardiac, musculoskeletal and other imaging projects. A variety of routine clinical work is also undertaken on the research scanner. Collaboration opportunities exist with projects using other research imaging facilities such as PET CT and Field-Cycling Imaging (FCI), and with imaging research across Scotland through the Scottish Imaging Network SINAPSE.

We are looking for an innovative, highly motivated radiographer interested in making a contribution to the MRI research programme and clinical workload. An analytical and enquiring approach to work as well as self-motivation, effective planning and organisational skills are required. A flexible approach to working is required.

The post holder will be a qualified diagnostic radiographer registered with the UK HCPC. Current funded projects are in brain imaging, breast cancer detection and cardiology. Musculoskeletal and other imaging projects are being developed by local clinical staff. Experience in these areas would be advantageous.

Salary will be at the appropriate point on Grade 6, (£36,333 – £39,592 per annum), and negotiable with placement according to qualifications and experience.

As this post is to cover a period of Maternity leave it will be available for 12 Months.
