This is an outstanding opportunity for a Research Associate to work within the Advanced Radiotherapy group under the supervision of Dr Marianne Aznar. The post holder will be part of the Radiotherapy Related Research (RRR) group, which is based at The Christie Hospital site in Withington.
The post holder will support the aims of Dr Aznar’s EPSRC fellowship on a project entitled “Big data for small patients – Building “child-size” individual predictive models for life after childhood cancer”. This innovative project will study the relationship between delivered dose and short-term and long-term side effects in children treated with radiotherapy for cancer.
This position offers an ideal opportunity for an enthusiastic, well-motivated individual to work as part of a sociable multi-disciplinary team consisting of physicists, clinicians, biologists, computer scientists and radiographers. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal, communication, IT, and organisational skills, will be able to work with minimal supervision. Experience of medical image analysis, registration or processing is essential for the position.
