Overview of the Role

Are you passionate about the future of the NHS workforce? Would you like to join our team of educators teaching the next generation of doctors? We are looking for someone who has experience in education at an undergraduate or postgraduate level to bring experience to this post.

As a Clinical Teaching Fellow in Medical Education, you will carry out a key teaching role in the field of General Practice undergraduate education within the School, drawing on your clinical and teaching experience to underpin and carry out first class teaching within primary care education.

As a Clinical Teaching Fellow in Medical Education the main focus of the role will be the development and delivery of high-quality teaching and contribution to the MBChB curriculum. With advances in the methods and locations of education delivery you will work with our teams developing new ways of approaching education. We have projects ranging from exploring new types of clinical placement experience, to new ways of delivering place-based learning.

You will be a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners or equivalent and be clinically active in general practice (a minimum of two programmed activity sessions per week pro rata) and be on the NHS performers list. Being clinically active you will contribute to the delivery of up to date, excellent educational programmes responsive to the needs of the current and future NHS workforce. You will have the opportunity to benefit from the research culture and activities within the School in order to help you deliver research-informed teaching. Administration duties will also be expected.

We are advertising for multiple post holders to cover our Primary care teaching requirements, we are open to discussing the exact FTE at interview, but are looking for candidate able to work at least 0.4 FTE
