We are seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate to join Professor Mike Dustin’s lab at the Kennedy Institute of Rheumatology, University of Oxford. The successful candidate will carry out research on the role of CD58 in formation of the immunological synapse by T cells in response to unique sets of tri-specific biologic drugs targeting CD3 and CD2 in cis (on the same T cell), and a tumour associated antigen in trans (on the tumour cell). The project is supported by EvoleImmune Therapeutics and will involve regular meetings with leading industry scientists working to bring these tri-specific T cell engagers to the clinic.

As a Postdoctoral Research Associate, you will manage your own academic research and administrative activities, juggling multiple aspects of the project to meet deadlines. You will test hypotheses and analyse scientific data, help to prepare scientific reports and journal articles, and teach and supervise students and scientific visitors.

You will have a PhD/ DPhil in Biomedicine or a related field, together with relevant laboratory experience and be knowledgeable in widefield, video, confocal, TIRF and/ or electron microscopy and relevant background image analysis. You will have experience of contributing to publications/ presentations and have excellent communication skills, with the ability to write for publication, present research proposals and results, and represent the research group at meetings.

This is a fixed-term position for two years but due to funding constraints, the post-holder will need to have started by 27 October 2023.
