The Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and the Honourable Omar Alghabra, Minister of Transport, today announced the appointment of Annick Goulet as Permanent Representative of Canada to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), effective as of July 3, 2023.

As proud ICAO host state and member of the 36-state council, Canada will continue to play an active role in the growth and development of the ICAO, ensuring safe, secure, and sustainable air travel for people around the world.

Ms. Goulet’s appointment continues her distinguished career in public service, which includes her current position as Ambassador of Canada to Romania, Bulgaria and the Republic of Moldova.
