Eastern AHSN (Academic Health Science Network) has an exciting opportunity for Programme Management Office Lead to join our rapidly expanding Health Informatics team.

This is a chance to join a fast growing, dynamic company, whose purpose is to turn great ideas into positive health impact. Citizens, academia, health services and industry achieve more working together than in isolation. As part of a national network, we make this happen by bringing together all partners in the health sector, to develop and deliver innovative care.  We are an independent company funded mostly through public money from the NHS, but we work with a wide range of innovative organisations in the public and private sectors.

A bit more on the role

The Health Informatics team has specialist skills in delivering programmes of work that include providing secure environments for storing and accessing health and other sensitive data to support health and care delivery, research, and innovation. This newly created role sits within the Operations function and will lead the day-to-day activities of the Programme Management Office (PMO), working to ensure the successful delivery of our projects and programmes. The post holder will manage a team of Programme Delivery Managers and Administrators, providing leadership and will generally be responsible for keeping the projects on track. The post holder will have significant experience in the governance of using health data for research purposes and will lead on the Information Governance streams of work across multiple projects. The post holder is not expected to be a technical expert, but instead have the capability to develop a broad understanding of our complex projects and be able to communicate key pieces of information to different audiences.

We offer flexible working arrangements. Our staff combine on-site (Cambridge) and remote working, enabling us to come together when it matters most and promote a healthy work-life balance. There will be an occasional requirement to travel within the Eastern region and attend events or meeting further afield.

In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a pension scheme with up to 10% matched company contributions, access to an employee assistance programme, learning & development opportunities, and 27 days paid leave in addition to bank holidays.
