Senior Project Manager – Malaria Vaccine Programme at University of Oxford

About the role

Applications are invited for a Senior Project Manager to support Professor Simon Draper in the successful delivery of the translational research programme based at the Department of Biochemistry. This is an ideal opportunity for an individual who is keen to take on a leadership role within a fast-paced research group working at the cutting edge of translational vaccine research. As a member of the Draper Group Operational team, the post-holder would have responsibility for project management of the EC Horizon Europe Consortium, developing and implementing cross-Consortium project plans and leading on the day-to-day co-ordination of the programme of clinical and pre-clinical research conducted at University of Oxford, to ensure project deliverables and milestones are achieved on time and on budget.

This full-time fixed-term post is funded by the UKRI for up to 2 years in the first instance.  The actual starting salary offered will be based on qualifications and relevant skills acquired and will also be determined by the funding available.  

About you 

You will hold a PhD/DPhil in Medical or Life Sciences, or other relevant subject and have experience in the project management of collaborative research projects with technical and regulatory complexity and have excellent scientific writing skills.  You will be a team player, with excellent people and time management skills and will be comfortable working interactively with colleagues at all levels.
