One ongoing position and one fixed term for one year as the post is providing a teaching role where ongoing demand is uncertain.

Both roles are 0.2 FTE.

The School of Healthcare is looking to appoint two Tutors in Counselling and Psychotherapy one for a one year fixed term contract and the other on an ongoing basis.

The School of Healthcare’s overall aim: is the creation, dissemination and application of knowledge to improve the health and wellbeing of communities, families and individuals by way of innovation in education, research and scholarship.

This is an exciting opportunity for the successful candidates to join an enthusiastic and academically talented team, who provide Counselling and Psychotherapy education within a multidisciplinary School and Faculty of undergraduate and postgraduate students. This role focusses on delivering high quality education to students undertaking the MA in Psychotherapy and Counselling. The successful applicants will teach on this programme and assist with the development and evaluation of course materials and modules and provide support and supervision to students as part of their tutoring duties.

Applicants require a Master’s degree in counselling and or psychotherapy, or a relevant subject and current registration with an appropriate body such as BACP with recent (within the last 12 months) contemporary experience as a psychological therapist. An ability to deliver inspiring and innovative teaching and to work flexibly as part of a wider team is required.
