We are seeking to appoint a new Lecturer with a particular interest in Extreme Medicine.  This is a part time (0.1FTE), permanent post is available immediately in the Medical School

About The role

This new post reflects the significant growth of our MSc Extreme Medicine.  This is a unique programme delivered in partnership between the University of Exeter Medical School and World Extreme Medicine.  It is a distance-learning programme, delivered through attendance at residential’ s in the UK or overseas, with the possibility to specialise in Cold Environments, Hot Environments or Humanitarian Relief.  More information can be found on the website:

About you

The successful applicant will most likely be a healthcare professional (e.g. doctor, paramedic, nurse, allied health professional) with professional and/or personal experience in some aspect of Extreme Medicine (e.g. humanitarian aid, volunteering overseas, expedition medicine, military medicine).  You will work with postgraduate programme and module leads and the Associate Dean of Education to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of teaching programmes in accord with the Medical School’s education strategy and implementing the External Affairs strategy.
