The School of Medicine wishes to appoint a Lecturer (Education Focused) in Education and Pastoral Support. The successful candidate will have a medical background in specialisms such as, but not limited to, General Practice, Adult or Mental Health nursing or as an Allied Health Professional and be capable of teaching clinical practice across the range of undergraduate medical and postgraduate taught programmes offered within the School. The role holder will support the Pro Dean of Medicine to deliver pastoral support to early years UG and graduate entry medical students at the Faculty of Medicine and teach clinical medicine in the School and potentially on NHS sites.

They will be able to develop appropriate assessments and supervise undergraduate and postgraduate dissertation students related to their areas of expertise. Experience in administrative management and/or academic development of modules, courses or programmes is also desirable.

This post is part of the Education Division within the School of Medicine and candidates will be encouraged to use a proportion of time (up to 15%) to pursue education research or related activity.
