The Nutrition & Planetary Health Theme within MRCG at LSHTM aims to understand the pathophysiology of diet-disease interactions to accelerate the development of more effective community and clinical interventions. The theme has a sub-group on Nutritional Genetics and Epigenetics that has made ground-breaking discoveries on how maternal pre-conceptional nutrition modifies the methylome of the very early embryo with likely lifelong programming of health-related phenotypes.
