We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our School of Nursing and Advanced Practice which has a long and proud history in undergraduate nurse education and sector leading postgraduate provision. We have a reputation for outstanding graduates and researchers.

Reporting to the Subject Head of Undergraduate Nursing and working alongside Programme Leaders for Undergraduate Nursing and Nurse Associate programmes, you will focus on high quality educational provision and responsive curricula. Student experience is at the heart of everything we do, and this is reflected in the quality of our programmes and the development of socially engaged practitioners and future leaders – delivered through committed and forward-thinking academic teams. A key area of focus and responsibility for this role will be the effective recruitment and sustained retention, progression and positive graduate outcomes for our nursing and nurse associate students.

The School of Nursing and Advanced Practice at LJMU, is renowned for the quality and strength of its undergraduate curricula, along with an enviable reputation for strong collaborative partnerships with health and social care providers across the region. You will have the capability to build on the existing strong foundations and achievements in the Subject Area, while also having the vision and ambition to work alongside the Subject Head to positively respond to future challenges and opportunities.

As a key member of the School’s leadership team, a strong and nuanced understanding of the UK nursing and nurse education landscape, complex policy implications and regulatory requirements of the Nursing and |Midwifery Council (NMC), Office for Students (OfS), OFSTED and the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF), is essential.

You will be joining our vibrant School and Faculty at a pivotal moment of growth and opportunities. We are seeking an outstanding individual who is able to deliver excellent student experience and outcomes and contribute to the strategic and operational needs of the School in this area.
