A woman, from the US state of Texas, shared the shocking moment a pizza deliveryman swore at her over the $5 (A$7.50) tip she gave him for an order she said cost just $20 (A$29.95).

Lacey Purcival posted the video on TikTok, showing a DoorDash driver she identified as Corey delivering dinner to her home, New York Post reported.

The deliveryman could be seen ringing the doorbell, before Ms Purcival opened the door and greeted him.

After nearly dropping the pizza as he pulled it out of its sleeve, Corey handed over the pie as Ms Purcival thanked him enthusiastically.

As he started to walk back to his car, Corey turned back around and said, “I just want to say, it’s a nice house for a $5 tip”.

“You’re welcome!” responded an evidently taken-aback Ms Purcival.

“F**k you,” the driver spat as he walked out of frame.

“So how much should I be tipping for a $20 pie??” Ms Purcival captioned the TikTok video.

According to her, the tip deliveryman Corey was upset about what amounted to 25 per cent of the bill.

Reactions to the video were strong, with many voicing disbelief at the man’s behaviour.

“I guess he was expecting you to give him the house as a tip,” one commenter wrote.

“Haha five bucks on a $20 is 25 per cent, he needs to not only learn his manners, but learn his MATH,” another wrote.

“I’d be scared to eat the food after this interaction. He’s so rude,” said a third.

Many viewers said Ms Purcival should report him to DoorDash and rescind the tip she’d already given him.

She replied that she’d tried but the app wouldn’t allow it.

“I tried but the app wouldn’t let me delete it. He needed it anyhow, hope he uses it wisely,” Ms Purcival said.

DoorDash did not respond to requests for comment from The Post.
