We are seeking a highly motivated Research Associate to join our team in the Behavioural Science Group, within the Primary Care Unit, Department of Public Health and Primary Care. The role holder will support a range of research activities within the group, working on an NIHR-funded Programme on Adherence to Medication (PAM), directed by Professor Stephen Sutton. 

Within the Programme, the role holder will contribute to a range of tasks including:

  • Managing an ongoing trial of an intervention to increase medication adherence
  • Supervising three research assistants working on the trial
  • Supporting these research assistants to analyse and write up qualitative and quantitative data from the trial
  • Leading the write-up of at least one qualitative paper and at least one quantitative paper
  • Presenting findings at relevant meetings and conferences.
  • Contributing to the final report to the funder

You will be expected to have an MSc and PhD in Health Psychology or related subject. You will have expertise in analysing and writing up qualitative and/or quantitative data using relevant software (e.g. Nvivo, SPSS). You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience of managing a research project and research staff and preferably research experience in medication adherence and primary care.

The funds for this post are available until 31st May 2024.

This post is full time.  Applications for no less of 60% FTE working will be considered.
