The UCL Global Business School for Health (GBSH) at UCL East campus is an innovative business school preparing future healthcare leaders to disrupt and reimagine global health systems. GBSH is dedicated to training and developing the next generation of leaders in the global health economy by building on UCL’s proud tradition of cross-disciplinary academic excellence in education and research.
About the role
We are looking for an Associate Professor or Associate (Teaching) to lead the planning, delivery, and strategic direction of our MSc Global Healthcare Management programme. You will be responsible for the educational leadership and student experience as well as ensuring education is aligned to the fast-paced sector of healthcare management. You will be an exceptional team player working closely with other Programme Leads to deliver the School’s goals and objectives.
You will make a world-leading academic contribution to UCL’s interdisciplinary healthcare management education and research. You will work across UCL to ensure that our students are able to meet their career potential through high-impact activities that support their programme by providing oversight of pastoral and academic support.
Those applying for the Associate Professor role will be expected to be actively involved in publishing in world-leading journals as well as undertaking impactful research through grants and other related research activities such as PhD supervision.

About you
You will be required to hold a PhD in healthcare management, global health systems, health policy, or a related field. You will demonstrate an academic or work-related background in healthcare management and global health systems; you can apply for this role on the academic or teaching track.
We are looking for experience of teaching at the postgraduate level, including supervision, administration and marking of exams and assessments. You will also need experience in online delivery. You will have experience of teaching in higher education and knowledge of key debates in global health system and policy with potential to contribute to the development of these debates as part of your research agenda.
You will be a natural communicator and a passionate team player with the willingness to contribute to the education, research, and student experience profile of GBSH.
