Join our dynamic Faculty of Life Sciences Technical Team!

We are actively seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our esteemed Faculty of Life Sciences technical team in the Biomedical Sciences Building as a Level 1 Research Technician.

As a vital member of our collaborative and vibrant technical support team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting cutting-edge research activities across three schools within the Biomedical Sciences Building: Biochemistry, Cellular and Molecular Medicine, and Physiology, Pharmacology, and Neuroscience.

What will you be doing?

The post holder will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of day-to-day duties with the utmost efficiency.

This position requires providing exceptional support to the research team by performing various tasks including scientific glass washing, preparation of sterile materials, equipment maintenance and cleaning, handling, and relocating gas cylinders, contributing to the management of laboratory material stocks, liquid nitrogen filling and other crucial activities.

Additionally, the role requires the willingness to assist senior technician colleagues with any further support they may require.

The individual in this position should also foster a culture of safety and adhere to all relevant laboratory guidelines and regulations.
