About the Role

HE Lecturers are responsible for the development (including reviewing and updating), preparation and delivery of modules of study, including designing assessments and assessing students’ work. To support this activity, they are required to engage in regular and ongoing research and scholarly activity in order to ensure that module content and subject pedagogy remain current and contemporary.

Please note this post is part time working 18.5 hours per week.

What You Will Do

  • You will be responsible for the planning, delivery and assessment of modules on two courses within the Higher Education curriculum team; FD Healthcare Assistant Practitioner and FD Health and Wellbeing.
  • You will work closely with the rest of the team to support students in transitioning into higher education with the goal of progressing and achieving in their studies.
  • You will also engage with internal and external student recruitment activities, and support the growth of the HE provision.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A strong background in healthcare, ideally within the NHS or privately operated medical services. Applicants with other strong backgrounds in wider healthcare careers are also encouraged to apply.
  • Experiential knowledge of the UK healthcare system. 
  • A degree (level 6) or higher qualification in a relevant subject area, and a level 5 or higher teaching qualification.
