We are seeking to appoint a Medical Epidemiologist to join our team at the Centre for Tropical Medicine and Global Health, University of Oxford.

 

In this role, you will be responsible for the support of the Data Engineering and Informatics teams to maintain and improve the IDDO data repository and to improve data visualisations for the benefit of the scientific community. You will develop approaches to harmonisation of individual patient data related to diseases within the IDDO portfolio, as extracted from randomised controlled trials, longitudinal studies, and electronic health records, including application of controlled terminologies and CDISC standards, where applicable. You will also lead development of statistical analysis plans for IDDO study groups or systematic reviews and perform the statistical analyses for IDDO study groups or systematic reviews and participate in the writing of the study group report and contribute to writing manuscripts for publication.

 

It is essential that you hold a medical degree with proven, relevant experience in statistics or epidemiology. You will have demonstrable relevant research experience; track record of publication in peer-reviewed journals and a significant track record of biostatistical application in the field of medical statistics and/or epidemiology. You will also have experience of working with large and diverse datasets. The ability to work independently and within a globally diverse and multidisciplinary team is also essential in this role.
