The role
The role combines clinical and research training in Emergency Medicine. The successful applicant will be supported by the Research in Emergency Care Avon Collaborative Hub to develop their own independent programme of research.
What will you be doing?
The successful applicant with combine completing their clinical training in Emergency Medicine, working towards CCT (50%), with academic training in Emergency Medicine, working towards developing their own programme of research and applying for Advanced Fellowships (50%).
The post is for a maximum of four years, or until CCT is reached with a six month grace period, whichever is the sooner.
You should apply if
You have completed core training or are eligible for higher specialist training in Emergency Medicine at ST3 level or above.
You have completed, or submitted, a higher degree by research by the time of applying for the post (PhD or MD or equivalent), which must have been awarded by the time of taking up the post (1st October 2023 at the latest).
You are motivated to continue clinical academic training in Emergency Medicine.

Additional information
Contract type: The post will be offered on a fixed term, annually renewable basis for a period of up to 4 years or until CCT, whichever occurs first.
Work pattern: This post is full time, 1.0 FTE. Applications to work on a less than full time basis are also considered.
Salary: We will mirror the successful applicants NHS pay and progression including transitional pay arrangement.
