About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic cardiorespiratory physiotherapist capable of inspiring interest, curiosity and drive for learning in our students to join the School of Healthcare. This post provides the opportunity for those wanting to develop academic excellence and to contribute to research led teaching on our undergraduate physiotherapy and foundation year courses, including specialist cardio-respiratory physiotherapy teaching. You will be supported in your development by an experienced and cohesive teaching team that has been developing and delivering physiotherapy education at the University of Leicester for over 16 years.
As a teaching focused lecturer, you will engage in scholarship and innovation that enhances teaching and learning within the School and further establishes its external reputation. You will deliver excellent student support and pursue innovation and enhancement in student learning and experience with a view to ensuring outstanding student satisfaction.

About you
To be successful in this role you will be a specialist in cardiorespiratory physiotherapy and hold a BSc/MSc in physiotherapy with teaching experience in physiotherapy education. You will also be a member of the HCPC and CSP, having experience of clinical supervision of students on practice education in the NHS, private, independent or voluntary sector. You will have expertise that complements or enhances existing programmes/strengths within the department and themes within the College.
You will have a real passion for the subject matter and be motivated to provide the very best experience for our students using your expertise and skill to ensure all reach their potential. We are looking for someone who can network and collaborate at a regional and national level, with a commitment to teaching excellence, diversity, and our departmental community.
