Professor in Integrated Care Research at University of Suffolk

Based at the University of Suffolk, the Integrated Care Academy is the first of its kind in the UK. We are seeking to appoint a Professor in Integrated Care Research to lead and develop an innovative and impactful programme of research.

About the role
The ICA is an innovative partnership between the University of Suffolk, the Suffolk and North East Essex Integrated Care System (ICS), Suffolk County Council and Healthwatch Suffolk and others from the voluntary and community sector, such as Suffolk Mind and local hospices. The ICA aspires to promote the best possible co-ordinated care, responsive to the needs of the community it serves.

Working with the ICA as part of our Institute of Health and Wellbeing Research, you will work with a vibrant, dynamic team of researchers from within the academy and across the University and partnering with our stakeholders to develop and deliver research. It is anticipated that this research will be deliver impact in our regional context but also have impact nationally and internationally.

You will lead and develop a team, attract funding, supervise PhDs, and contribute to and oversee outputs that will contribute to our next Research Exercise Framework submission.

About you
Strong candidates will demonstrate experience of working with health, social care, and/or third sector organisations to deliver and implement research, as well as success in identifying and exploiting opportunities for income generation through existing academic funding streams.

They will have success in winning and managing research grants alongside health, social care and/or third sector organisations as well as academic collaborations. They will have a track record of leading successful significant research projects in health, social care and third sector and evidencing impact, along with evidence of working with health, social care and third sector care locally, nationally and internationally to deliver transitional research and to support and embed integrated care.
