The education directorate at the Royal College of Physicians is looking for an innovative and experienced educator to join the team to support us in delivering our portfolio of programmes for healthcare professionals.

Our medical educationalists have varied backgrounds. You may have worked in a range of settings including (but not limited to) teaching in a school/further education/higher education/clinical setting.

You will be an excellent teacher capable of facilitating groups of adult learners, providing developmental feedback to learners in a range of settings, applying and developing your skills to new contexts.

The post holder will work collaboratively with colleagues and clinician volunteers to develop and deliver workshops, postgraduate programmes, and medical education resources that meet client and stakeholder expectations and deadlines.

Please note that we have a process by which a grade 5 educationalist can progress to becoming a grade 6 senior educationalist after around 12 to 18 months, should they be able to demonstrate that they meet a defined set of criteria.

You will be based at our London office and spend a minimum of 6 days onsite each month, this may increase depending on teaching requirements throughout the academic year. Occasionally you may be required to be onsite in London to provide teaching cover at short notice. The role will require overnight and occasional same-day travel to our Liverpool office and to other locations within the UK to teach our portfolio of learning programmes.

For more information, please read the Educationalist Senior Educationalist job descriptions. Your covering letter should explain what skills, experience and interests you have that make you the right person for either role.
