Research Assistant in Socio-technical Systems Design

Are you an early career researcher looking for your first challenge? Do you have a background in socio-technical systems design? Do you have an interest in the design and development of health and care systems? Do you want to further your career in one of the UK’s leading research intensive universities?

As the population ages, so does the number of people with Multiple Long-Term [health] Conditions (MLTCs) such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease and asthma. The goal of this project is to improve the real world experiences and so quality of life for such people by bringing together health and care partners from across Leeds to tackle long-term illness in the most deprived areas of the city. This will help tailor better care and support for individuals and their carers, design more joined-up and sustainable services and make better use of public resources.

The Research Assistant will take an active role in preparation, delivery and reporting of the pilot project. This will include remaining up to date with relevant literature, application of socio-technical systems methods and tools, data analysis and report-writing and engagement with stakeholders to inform the development and delivery of the pilot and its results.
