We are looking for a Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team to design and conduct innovative analyses of interactions between autistic and non-autistic people.
This post is full-time (35 hours per week), however, we are open to considering flexible working patterns. We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.
The opportunity:
The Postdoctoral Researcher will be responsible for designing and conducting innovative analyses of video interactions between autistic pairs, non-autistic pairs, and pairs of autistic and non-autistic people. This is part of an interactional collaborative study with data collected from the UK and US. The Postdoctoral Researcher will also contribute to dissemination of results at conferences and in journal publications.
Your skills and attributes for success:
- The ability to generate exploratory or hypothesis-driven analysis plans, informed by the research literature and suitable for the available data types
- The ability to conduct innovative analyses for examining interactions between autistic and non-autistic people using video data
- The ability to write publications including conference abstracts and academic articles
- The ability to liaise closely with other members of the research team across sites
- Problem solving and organisational skills
