We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Scientist to join the team at the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research, Nuffield Department of Medicines. Reporting to Professor Richard White, you will study how developmental and microenvironmental programs promote cancer.

You will be responsible for participating in the Ludwig Cancer Research funded research programme led by Professor Richard White. You will design and perform research utilizing zebrafish, cancer cell lines and human iPS models of cancer. You will adapt existing and develop new scientific techniques and experimental protocols. You will manage your own academic research and administrative activities which involves small scale project management, to coordinate multiple aspects of work to meet deadlines and contribute ideas for new research projects.

It is essential that you hold a DPhil/PhD degree (or close to completion) in a relevant subject. You should have a background in genetics, epigenetics, cancer, development biology, imaging or related fields. You will have excellent communication skills, including the ability to write for publication, present research proposals and results and ability to manage own academic research and associated activities. Having an experience with Zebrafish or similar genetic model organisms is highly desirable.
