Senior Lecturer in Advanced Clinical Practice at Edge Hill University

Fixed Term for 12 months – full time or part time (various hours) available

About the Role

As Senior Lecturer in Advanced Clinical Practice you will be required to make a significant contribution to the delivery of our MSc Advanced Clinical practice (ACP) programmes (direct entry and apprenticeships routes), related modules and other areas of our core curriculum depending on your areas of expertise and experience. You will be particularly involved in teaching the trainee ACPs in all years of their training aligned to the 4 pillars of advanced clinical practice – clinical practice, education, leadership and management and research. The role will also require you to support the trainee ACPs both academically and pastorally and you will also support the programme lead and wider programme team. We will consider both full time and part time applications and may be able to consider secondment opportunities from an employer.

About You

You will be an enthusiastic and friendly professional with excellent communication and interpersonal skills coupled with a commitment to providing an excellent student experience. 

You will have a minimum of a higher degree (MSc) in advanced practice/advanced clinical practice OR be a qualified advanced nurse practitioner as well as be registered with a professional statutory regulatory body. You should have or be applying to the NHS England, Centre of Advancing Practice Digital Badge as recognition of meeting the criteria as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner. 

We welcome applications from both individuals who have worked in higher education (HE) and those who are actively working in clinical practice as well as those who wish to work either full-time or part-time in Higher Education.
