Faculty of Education and Human Development 

We invite applications for the academic position in the field of 

The appointee will participate in activities related to research, teaching, project supervision, curriculum and programme development, and programme and course management at undergraduate to postgraduate levels. Field work supervision may also be required. He/she is expected to be an active researcher, be able to conduct research that leads to publications in leading international journals, and successfully acquire external research grants. 

Applicants should have a Doctoral Degree in relevant disciplines. They should demonstrate evidence of scholarship, research, and publications in the relevant fields and demonstrate strong potential research capability as researchers with a very good research track record, post-qualification teaching experience in tertiary education sector, and commitment to high qualify teaching. They should be in post by January 2024. 

Shortlisted candidates will be required to demonstrate a clearly defined research agenda relevant to the Department’s vision, a strong publication record, the capacity to win competitive grants, a commitment to high-quality teaching, sustained engagement in professional services, and an aptitude for innovation. Successful candidates will work individually and collaboratively to conduct cutting-edge research, develop and teach innovative courses in undergraduate, postgraduate, and continuing professional development programmes, and engage in community services.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. 

Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract. Fringe benefits include the University’s Voluntary Contributions to MPF Scheme or a contract-end lump sum payment (totaling up to 15% of the basic salary), leave, medical and dental benefits, and, where applicable, housing benefits.
