The Discipline of Physiotherapy, Trinity College, Dublin (TCD), invites applicants for an Assistant Professor in Physiotherapy.

The successful candidate will be based in the Trinity Centre for Health Sciences, St. James’ Hospital and will provide teaching in on the Undergraduate Physiotherapy programme with a focus on musculoskeletal health, orthopaedics and exercise medicine.

The successful candidate will also be required to supervise research students and contribute to the research profile of the Discipline especially in the area by actively engaging in research and contribute to the administration of the Discipline. The holder of this position is accountable to the Head of Discipline of Physiotherapy, TCD.

The discipline requires a candidate to support and lead evidence based and clinically relevant teaching to aid the development of curricula, advanced practice and support relationships with new and existing services provider partners. They will also be required to lead and develop research programmes which are relevant to the department in the areas of musculoskeletal and exercise medicine.

A successful research team; we prioritise research collaboration with clinical partners in our linked hospitals, national and international colleagues, other relevant stakeholders and industry, to identify research questions of local, national and global significance.

Post status: 5 Year Fixed-Term, Tenure Track Contract

Salary: Appointment will be made on the Lecturer Salary Scale at a point in line with Government Pay Policy (€38,719- €94,031 per annum). https://www.tcd.ie/hr/employee-services/pay-scales/
